Profile Pictures
One of the great things about intelligentgolf is how it creates a social community for your members online. Even when not able to play in competitions, members can feel a part of the club by seeing the results, handicap status and so much more on there.
We are now enhancing this to allow members (only once the club has enabled it, so it must be switched on) to upload their own images of themselves.
These pictures are then used in a number of places on the site to show the identity of the member involved. For example, you'll now see on the front page of the website the pictures of the prize winners in the latest competitions, or those who have set the course records.
In a knockout match, your opponent's picture will be shown, so you can be sure of who you are up against.
These pictures were used very successfully this year at the Duke of York Young Champions Trophy, where we enabled the live leaderboards running in the clubhouse to show the pictures. The leader in the clubhouse had a special large format image shown automatically when they were the outright leader.
We think enabling pictures will add a real splash of colour and interest to the home page, and will get your members quite excited.
